The Cours Saleya Flower Market is a popular tourist attraction and a great place to stroll around admiring the flowers. On Mondays, there is a flea market and antique market in the premises. There are also souvenir stores and lovely cafés for sitting back and relaxing for a few moments between shopping. The flower market area also has many excellent restaurants for seafood, and you can do some more shopping in the luxurious boutiques around the market area.

Old Nice has small narrow streets, restaurants and bars, boutiques and shops, food and wine stores, gift shops and beautiful old architecture. Old Nice can be found near the flower market. Many of Nice’s best nightlife spots can also be found here in Vieux Nice.

The Pedestrian Zone is a busy tourist area and although there are many overpriced tourist traps and souvenir stores here, it is a car-free area and nice to walk around. This is also a good place to stop for a coffee or a drink in one of the outdoor cafés and watch the world go by.

Nice Cimiez is home to many of the main tourist attractions in the city. The Musee Matisse, or the Matisse Museum, exhibits the works of the famous Henri Matisse throughout the artist’s life. Matisse was a local resident and you can spot some of the familiar landscapes in his paintings. Next to the Matisse Museum, you can explore the ruins of an old Roman bathhouse and an amphitheater. If you are interested in local history, pay a visit to the Archaeology Museum next door. Moreover, when in Nice, do not forget to climb up the steps to Le Chateau for good views over Nice, and towards the Mediterranean Sea.

From Nice, it is easy to take a daytrip to nearby Cannes, Monaco or Monte Carlo. If you are traveling independently, you can rent a car and explore the neighboring areas at your own pace. Many local tour operators and travel agents can help with organizing trips, and visitors can also take a train or a bus to many destinations in the area. There are three train stations in Nice, and the main bus station for trips to the local area is located in the Place Massena. French public transportation network is effective and modern, and traveling around by trains or by buses is a pleasure.

Lanzarote is one of the most popular holiday islands in the Canary Islands group. The island has miles and miles of sandy beaches, a wide variety of hotels and resorts for all budgets, a busy nightlife and a beautiful landscape to explore in the inner parts of the island. If you are planning to experience this popular Canary Island, here are some tips for traveling to Lanzarote and finding a cheap Lanzarote flight.

The fourth largest and easternmost of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote is just east from Fuerteventura in the Atlantic Ocean. The island has some great beaches amongst wild and rocky shores, and the inside of the island is famous for its impressive mountainous landscape. The beaches and beach resorts are the main attraction.

Lanzarote Tourist Information

Most visitors come to Lanzarote for the sandy beaches, perfect for sunbathing, swimming and water sports. Lanzarote is popular with sunbathers from around Europe, and it attracts many families. Even though the beaches are the main attraction here, it is highly recommended that you rent a car for a day and go to explore the landscapes in the inner parts of the island. Lanzarote is a small island and you can easily visit most of the attractions in a day. In the Timanfaya National Park area, the Montañas del Fuego is one of the main tourist attractions on the whole island. The Famara and Ajaches mountain ranges and the desert of El Jable offer unique scenery away from the beaches. There are also volcanic tunnels and fascinating rock formations to explore. Jameos del Agua is a volcanic formation in the northern part of Lanzarote and there is a restaurant and a bar as well as a swimming pool and even a concert hall inside one of the rock formations. The nearby Cueva de los Verdes is a network of tunnels and caverns and you can take guided tours inside the cave.

Like all the Canary Islands, Lanzarote is popular with package holidaymakers from around Europe, but it is also possible to visit the island independently. There are flights to Lanzarote from many major travel hubs in Europe, including London, and some low-cost airlines offer cheap Lanzarote flights. There are also flights from Lanzarote to mainland Spain.

For the cheapest flights to Lanzarote, try to travel outside the peak seasons. In the Canary Islands, the busiest holiday periods are between November and February, and especially around Christmas and New Year. During the Christmas holiday season, flight prices and accommodation rates can be much higher than at other times. Cheaper periods to vacation on the islands include the beginning of the season in September and October, and again at the end of the main tourist season in March and April. Multi Stop Flights – A Cheaper Alternative Than a Round The World Ticket

A multi stop flight ticket can be a much cheaper alternative for those traveling across several countries, than a round the world ticket. Round the world tickets are needed if you are traveling, literally, around the world, visiting many countries, and then planning to return to your initial destination. However, many people who plan extensive trips to different worldwide countries can manage very well with cheaper multi stop flights instead.

Whereas an around the world flight goes around the world, a multi stop flight is best for trips that go across the world, in either direction. Many back-packers who want to travel and visit different countries book multi stop international flights. A typical example of one such flight would be traveling from LA to Sydney, onto Perth, Melbourne, Thailand and then back to LA again. These trips can be broken with part of journey made overland. In the example given above, the flight path would be LA to Sydney, onto Perth, drive back overland from Perth to Melbourne, from there fly out to Thailand and from Thailand home to LA. The number of trip breaks you can make in any flight will depend upon the airlines, though usually at least two are permitted. This gives the traveler a chance to explore countries by land as well as by flying directly from one city to another.

A round the world trip would not be able to leave from LA for Australia and then double back to LA. Instead, they would have to travel one direction only around the world, only stopping in each city once on their journey. As you can see, unless you were actually intending to travel all the way around the world this would cost you much more than being able to double back when returning home.

It is also possible to buy a one-way multi-stop ticket. In fact, many people do this when returning home after having spent some time abroad. Rather than flying directly home, they have a longer journey, visiting different locations on the way. Many people buy multi stop tickets for traveling within their own country as well, sometimes breaking their journey and making their way via another mode of transportation for part of their trip.

With many people now purchasing their tickets online, the possibilities for booking these types of flights online has increased. However, unless you are very sure of your exact itinerary and have a lot of patience when it comes to booking tickets online, you may be much better off to book via a travel agent. When you book multi stop flights online, you can sometimes miss important information such as cheap deals or special offers on flights. A travel agent will be able to give you different tips and suggestions regarding which airlines are better to travel with for each particular leg of your journey. Availing yourself of their wealth of information will help you to find cheap multi stop flights, whereas if you book them online you may end up paying considerably more than you need to.

Another good idea, prior to booking your ticket, is to price an around the world trip ticket that will allow you to visit all the destinations you are intending to travel. In other words, give yourself a little extra time than you think you need for overland travel to avoid the possibility of incurring expensive ticketing fees should you be late for your next air departure. It is usually also a good idea to limit your ticket to a three month period.

Multi stop flights are a great alternative for people who want to do some extensive traveling, yet who are not planning or wanting to make a trip around the entire world in one direction. They are also great for people returning from abroad, who want to spend some time visiting the different countries they pass through on their return home.

Cheap flights to the Maldives are not too hard to find, if you know where to look and are not particular about which airline you fly with. It should be noted, however, that a lot depends on what time of year you fly and how far in advance you book the ticket. You should always book as far in advance as possible if you want to get a cheap flight to Maldives. Naturally, you would also want to book economy/coach instead of business or first class.

But before you continue to read this post, I just want to recommend you my other “cheap flights” post about travelling in the Phils called “How to find cheap flights to The Philippines from any place around the world”.

Another factor is which day of the week you book. A number of airlines have set up their website in such a way that a person can tell at a glance which particular day is cheapest. Some cheap fare websites, such as www.makemytrip.com, have a similar set up. Unless you have an unchangeable appointment for a particular day, book the ticket for the day when the price will be cheapest. Usually the cheapest days to fly are Monday to Thursday, although there are exceptions to this.

Cheap Flights to Maldives from India

A good internet site to check out for cheap tickets from India to Maldives is www.makemytrip.com. While many other sites charge extra for tax and booking fees, the prices listed on this site are all inclusive. Via this site, you can get a round trip ticket from Delhi or Bombay to Male, Maldives in the range of $433–$438. Prices vary from $70 to $90 less if you fly out from either Chennai or Bangalore. You should note, however, that the same tickets cost more if you fly either Saturday or Sunday. All these flights are offered by Sri Lankan Airlines.

Another good flight website to check is Expedia.com. Like the above-mentioned website, they also include all taxes and fees into the ticket price listed. This makes it much easier to compare prices. Tickets to Male from India cost pretty much the same as they do on Make My Trip. If you happen to need a direct ticket, then this site offers an affordable round trip one from Bangalore to Male for $389 via Air India; Delhi, Chennai and Bombay do not have direct flights.

You should also check www.cleartrip.com as this site offers good deals on flights from India. While presently the tickets cost around the same as the other two sites, it is very important to realize that prices can change very fast. It is helpful to know of at least two or three good sites to book cheap tickets on. That way, if one site no longer offers a good deal, then you can try another reliable site. The reverse is also true— sometimes especially good deals appear unexpectedly on one or two sites but not others; they last for a short time and then they are gone. Checking more than one site and comparing prices ensures that you get the best deal.

Cheap Flights to Maldives from London:

Naturally, a round trip flight from London to the Maldives is going to be more expensive than a flight from India to the Maldives. However, it does not have to overly expensive. Ticket site www.makemytrip.com has about the best deals there are and you can purchase a round trip ticket from London to Maldives for around $863, flying on Emirates Airlines. It should be noted that this flight leaves and arrives at Gatwick Airport. London has several international airports and which airport the flight departs from can be a factor in the price. This same flight, however, is available on www.opodo.co.uk and www.expedia.co.uk for nearly $100 less. It should be noted that the latter site is Expedia’s British site and should not be confused with www.expedia.com, the American site, as the American site does not offer the same good deal as the British site does.

In fact, if you are traveling from London, then checking British based ticket websites is your best bet. You can tell where they are based by the domain name – if it ends in .uk then it is a British site.

Important Points to Note

As was mentioned above, it should be noted that prices could change quite fast, either going down or up.

It is also important to note that not only will you need a credit card to purchase the ticket online, but you should be prepared to show your card at the airport when you check in. This is standard procedure and is done to prevent misuse of stolen cards.

When buying a cheap flight to Maldives, you should also check on the airlines policies regarding date changes and cancellations. You will nearly always be charged an additional fee if you change the date and/or cancel the ticket, however, some airlines do not allow for either date changes or cancellation, especially on promotional tickets. You should be aware of the airline’s policy regarding this before finalizing the purchase. It is usually better to buy a ticket where the date can be changed or the ticket cancelled, as this will prevent you from losing money if unforeseen circumstances arise.

The words Banteay Srei means “Citadel of Woman.” The local legends state that the reliefs on the temple are considered so delicate that it could only have been created by the hands of a woman. The relief carvings portray beautiful scenes from ancient Hindu tales.

The Banteay Srei temple was completed in 967 and is the only major temple that was not built for the king. It was however built by one of king’s counselors Yajnyavahara. The southern part of the temple as well as the central towers was dedicated to Shiva, and the northern ones to Vishnu. The temple is located near the hill of Phnom Dei approximately 15 miles northeast of the main temples.

You cannot tour temples and not see the royal temple known as the Silver Pagoda, but to the natives it is known as Wat Preah Keo. This is a very unique place that the Cambodians hold near and dear to their hearts. It is adored by tourist because of the Buddha statues, which is regarded as one of the countries most significant treasures. Aside from it being known as the house of jeweled and royal Buddha statues, the Silver Pagoda is also known as the official holy place for the King of Cambodia.

This place has many mystical and intriguing facts that spark the interest from tourists around the world. The most popular attracting factors are as follows; The temple of the Emerald Buddha use to be made of wood, but over time it was reconstructed by using concrete and marble and has over 5,000 silver tiles that was use for the flooring. Each tile is said to way approximately 2.2 pounds.

This temple was considered to be rich from a historical aspect. It is and has always remained to be one of the most famous places in Cambodia, mainly because it housed ancient artifacts and exotic jewels. This temple is one of the few temples that have remained in one piece throughout the years.

Be prepared if you are planning on touring this historical temple. There is an entrance fee of $3 plus an additional $2 fee if you plan on taking still pictures. If you wish to take video there is another fee of $5. It is also important to note that photos and or video can only be taken from outside of the temple and you must be wearing what is considered proper attire.
